Key Responsibilities for the Facilities Maintenance Engineer Role:
* Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on key systems including BMS, HVAC, pneumatics, mechanical systems, fire suppression, and electrical infrastructure to ensure seamless facility operations.
* Troubleshoot and perform first-line repairs on a variety of facility-based equipment and infrastructure, maintaining the reliability of high-tech systems such as autoclaves, CNC machines, lathes, routers, and power systems.
* Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies including power outages, leaks, or critical system failures, ensuring minimal downtime and operational continuity.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment inventories to ensure full compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Diagnose and resolve facility-related technical issues in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, implementing permanent corrective actions where needed.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams and departments to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all facility systems.
* Manage and monitor spare parts inventories, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) systems, working within facility maintenance budgets.
* Provide day shift support with flexibility for occasional weekend work, particularly for key events or facility upgrades.
Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours Required for the Facilities Maintenance Engineer Role:
* Strong knowledge of facility systems such as BMS, HVAC, and mechanical systems, with experience in a high-performance, technical environment.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure within a fast-paced or high-tech industry, such as motorsport or manufacturing.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise urgent repairs.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals and apply practical solutions in real-time problem-solving scenarios.
* Strong communication skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
* Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a high-functioning team.
