Milk Education is partnering with a supportive and dynamic secondary school in Ealing to find a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team. This fulfilling role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting students’ emotional and behavioural development, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
* Develop and implement individual behaviour management plans tailored to meet the needs of each student.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to provide strategies and interventions that enhance student engagement and behaviour within the classroom.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing detailed reports on their development and well-being.
* Build positive relationships with students, promoting self-confidence and boosting their self-esteem.
* Offer guidance and advice to students, helping them to make better decisions both inside and outside of school.
* Work with external agencies when required, such as educational psychologists or counsellors.
Requirements:
* Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a mentoring, pastoral care, or behavioural support role.
* A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to establish rapport with students who may exhibit challenging behaviours.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and external partners.
* A proactive, solution-focused approach to resolving challenges.
* A DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
