Our Property Services Team are currently recruiting for a qualified Carpenter to join their team. Property Services at Ocean provide trade services to our tenants and our Carpenters provide Carpentry related duties within the Maintenance, Voids, Planned and Energy Teams. The position is permanent, full time (40 hours per week) with a salary of £32,994 per annum (plus 5% call out/multiskilled enhancement once probation completed) Role Working alone or as part of a team you will undertake duties of a qualified carpenter on building maintenance and improvement work. The duties will include repairs and maintenance to the company’s housing stock and other properties as directed, ensuring that the quality of work meets the highest standards You will be included in our out of hour’s service with the additional benefit of overtime and of a 5% multi-skilled salary enhancement, which includes the emergency call out standby allowance The role requires the ability for the post holder to hold basic skills in various trade disciplines and ensure works provided are of the highest quality, efficient and good value for money for our customers. Qualifications and Experience It is essential you hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in the relevant trade and hold a Full Clean Full Driving Licence You will have previous experience of a wide variety of carpentry maintenance works and of working in occupied domestic properties You will be able to provide a quality service to tenants by carrying out works to a high standard in an efficient, effective, professional, respectful and safe manner ensuring excellent levels of customer service and minimal disruption to customers Experience in providing excellent customer service and developing relationship We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory basic check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
