Job summary We are looking for a committed and hardworking Pharmacy aseptic compounding assistant to work in our aseptic unit. Our busy units make chemotherapy and other aseptic products to support patients across North West London and beyond. Through our support for numerous clinical trials, we also are at the cutting edge of developing treatments for the future. In conjunction with our other team members you will ensure that the aseptic service provided to chemotherapy and Clinical Trial patients across the trust is to a high standard. This will include compounding of chemotherapy and Clinical Trials in isolators and/or Laminar Air Flow cabinets. The post is cross site and will be based at Hammersmith or Charing Cross site and will require the post holder to organise and participate in the preparation of chemotherapy, clinical trials and parenteral nutrition for adults. Main duties of the job To assist in the provision of a high quality aseptic pharmaceutical dispensing service to all users of the service The unsupervised compounding of aseptic products such as cytotoxic chemotherapySpecial delivery systems and clinical trials To work closely with the Quality Assurance Unit to ensure compliance with GMP and maintain standards To undertake day to day housekeeping tasks and other basic duties.
