A new vacancy has arisen within Baxters which represents an excellent opportunity to join their team, based in Edinburgh. This role offers an office-based working approach and the ability to further your career within a fantastic business that has made itself a well-established household name over many years. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Finance Director with regular interaction with the finance team and various other stakeholders within the business.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Group statutory account preparation under IFRS
2. Leading on group and subsidiary audits
3. Monthly group consolidation and close review
4. Managing certain lender reporting requirements
5. Group overheads review actuals / forecast / budget
6. Assisting the review of group balance sheet
7. Business partnering with treasury, internal audit, IT and FP&A teams
8. Liaising with tax and other external advisors
9. Finance support for group projects
10. Managing and developing the Group Financial Accountant
Qualifications and Key Attributes:
1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (with IFRS experience), ideally from an audit practice background
2. Appropriate post-qualification experience
3. Experience in multi-currency consolidation and foreign currency accounting
4. Experience of group consolidation accounting critical
5. Ownership of key technical areas including IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, impairment reviews and IAS 19
6. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
7. Experience or desire to manage and develop individuals
8. Ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with individuals at all levels within an organisation
