About Us: CBC Metal Fabrications is a manufacturer of bespoke, architectural metal fabrications, based in Coatbridge. We manufacture in a range of metals including brass, copper, aluminium, stainless and mild steel, working from design drawings to finished products, to meet the demanding standards required by a range of clients. We are looking for skilled and dedicated fabricators to join our team. Job Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components according to drawings/specifications. You will work with a variety of metals and use various tools and machinery to produce high-quality finished products. Working hours will be: 8.00-12.30 & 1.00-4.30 Monday-Thursday. 8.00-12.30 & 1.00-3.00 Friday. Site work may be involved travelling from and back to our Coatbridge base. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret client drawings/requirements, plan the operations and manufacture the parts. Operate fabrication machinery such as guillotines, press brakes, saws, and welding equipment. Cut, bend, and assemble metal components to precise requirements. Perform TIG, MIG, and other material joining techniques, as required. Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards and client specifications. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment. Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to optimise production efficiency. Supervision of other staff/apprentices in training. Requirements: Proven experience as an architectural metal fabricator in a manufacturing or metalworking environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery. Experience with MIG, TIG, and other joining techniques with a variety of metals. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, as needed. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures. Relevant certification in metal fabrication. Knowledge of finishing processes applied to decorative metalwork. Site work and installation of metal parts and/or assemblies.
