Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland. Howâs this for job satisfaction: at Scottish Water we look after Scotland's most precious natural resource. From source to tap to sea, we are guarding Scotlandâs reputation for refreshingly pure water, and caring for our environment at the same time. Sounds good? We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Sewer Response team, working in the Inverness/Strathspey Area What youâll do Your number-one priority is resolving customer issues. Youâll take control of any situation, investigate problems, and come up with solutions that make customers happy â always making sure theyâre kept up to date. Youâll also carry out choke clearing activities on our sewer network and maintenance on sewer network infrastructure, as well as plant, equipment, and vehicle checks. All while putting health and safety first working to our combined sewer response activities risk assessments and SLG our sites to Chapter 8 NSRWA will be essential. Putting our customers first by keeping any service disruption to a minimum. Accurate reports are essential, so youâll be across reporting systems for measuring performance and productivity. You will generally be working as a single-man team, and you will participate on a 1 in 4 standby rota for out-of-hours work. What youâll bring Youâll spend some time working alone, so youâll need to be self-motivated, but still eager to contribute to your teamâs goals. Basic IT skills are a must, as youâll be using digital equipment and apps throughout the day. Youâll need report writing skills too â nothing fancy, but enough to get your point across clearly, quickly, and accurately. A full, clean driving licence is non-negotiable, as youâll need to travel around sites in the Inverness, Strathspey and Moray areas. A few ânice to havesâ: it would be ideal if you have experience with HGVs and Tachographs. And experience using high pressure water jetting equipment would be good. As would an understanding of health and safety principles for site working. Holding a CPC, HGV, CPCS or NSRWA qualification would be great, but itâs not a must-have.
