The job itself
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Team Leader at the Council's Millers and Haltemprice Day Services, which offers day opportunities to people with a learning disability, autistic people, and older people in the local area.
Millers is a well-established day service in Beverley, which provides care and support to adults with a range of complex needs to support their families, carers, and friends. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within health and social care settings including working with people who have a learning disability, autistic people, and older people including those with memory impairment conditions. You will be passionate about providing high standards of care and support which promote choice, independence, and dignity.
You will also be a confident leader who can role model best practice and help foster a positive working environment for all staff. The Council is committed to providing extensive learning and development opportunities, and you will show a desire for self-development and promoting increased skills and knowledge within your staff team.
In return we can offer you:
1. Free learning and personal development opportunities
2. Day time working pattern - Monday to Friday
3. Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
4. Health and Wellbeing Support and Wellbeing Hub for all staff
5. Employee Assistance Programme
6. Health Cash Plan
7. Eye Care Voucher Scheme
8. Leisure Centre Membership Discounts
9. Specific Travel Benefits including; cycle to work scheme, car salary sacrifice, car lease scheme
10. Shop and Save discount scheme and East Riding Rewards (shop and save discounts)
If you feel that you are the right person for this post, please evidence in your application how your knowledge and experience meet the criteria of job outline and employee specification. Please note that this role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with adult barred list check and requires the successful applicant to be able to travel independently around the East Riding area to attend meetings away from the Beverley and Haltemprice area.
