Your Role as SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide individual and small group support to students with special educational needs in a mainstream setting. Assist with differentiated lessons in core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and communication skills. Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and confident. Work alongside the SENCO and class teachers to implement IEPs and ensure tailored learning approaches. Track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents. Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, ensuring they feel safe and engaged in their learning journey. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role within a primary school. ✅ A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children. ✅ A strong understanding of SEN strategies and differentiation techniques. ✅ Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude. ✅ A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
