What to Expect We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer – Paint (New Model) to join our Manufacturing Engineering department in Woking. As the Manufacturing Engineer you will develop optimal Paint practices and assist with budget implementation. You’ll experience diverse aspects of the business, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to projects from start to finish. What You'll Do Supporting cross functional Design & Perceived Quality reviews for new models Working with Research & Development (R&D) on new material concepts and technologies Supporting Design Verification Plan (DVP) testing of new substrates Development of new Paint colours, including application sign off Development of Paint application methods, including tooling definition PFMEA DFMEA Facility / Paint Shop capacity planning Facility layout planning Process & Documentation and Product Traceability methodology Hours Per Car generation / reporting Development of Paint application methods, including tooling definition Identifying any part related concerns, including Quality maturation, and escalation What You'll Bring A degree in mechanical / automotive engineering or similar or equivalent experience in a similar role Ideally you will have experience with: Paint development & application methodologies Specification and procurement of paint jigs & fixtures Planning and execution of new vehicle programs Complex paint technologies / systems Vehicle assembly processes End of line vehicle processing / finishing Identifying resolutions for product related issues, ensuring all quality targets are achieved Implementation of safe working practices What We'll Do for You We offer a wide – ranging benefits package, which includes: Structured career development framework 25 days’ holiday, plus bank holiday.
