Income Recovery Adviser (Maternity Cover)

Circa £31,678 per annum
13-Month Fixed Term Contract Starting June 2025

We’re looking for a proactive Income Recovery Adviser, with excellent interpersonal skills, to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover a colleague whilst on maternity leave. In this role, you’ll help tenants understand their rent payments, monitor accounts, and take action to recover arrears in line with our policies.
You’ll work closely with Housing Managers, Customer Support, and Finance teams to ensure a smooth and supportive service. By promoting payment solutions, offering advice on benefits and debt management, and helping to reduce arrears, you’ll make a real difference - helping tenants stay in their homes and improve their financial well-being. Your work will directly support our purpose of ‘enabling positive life chances by providing safe and secure homes.’
To be successful in this role you will need to:
* Have experience of income recovery, making outbound calls and taking payments over the phone
* Be an excellent communicator, with the ability to have challenging conversations in a professional and sensitive manner
* Be confident in using IT systems and internal databases
* Have a strong understanding of Universal Credit and other benefits
* Possess excellent organisational and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage conflicting demands
* Be aware of relevant legislation and social housing regulations
