About the role
Royal Caribbean Group UK office is looking for a 12 months fixed term Senior Product Owner to join the team. This role is based in Weybridge, Greater London. Please note that we can only consider candidates based in the UK with full right to work who would be able to commute to Weybridge office.
Position Summary/ Job Purpose:
* To implement and maintain high performing products onboard RCCL ships, regularly monitoring and improving product performance based on performance feedback and metrics.
* The job holder has full autonomy to innovate and adjust within RCCL ethics policy and department processes.
* Consideration of geographic scope and ADA compliance when designing and implementing products onboard.
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, competitive environment with non-negotiable project deadlines.
* Creativity and innovation are essential to enhance guest or crew experiences.
* This job involves products that are used in all of the RCCL brands Azamara, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Pullmantur, SilverSea, and TUI Cruises.
Based in Weybridge office reporting to the Sr. Manager Product, the role will provide leadership over the team that defines the strategy and functionally executes a product and/or set of products, for Royal Caribbean Cruises, LTD and all associated brands.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and proven track record of product management and user experience design with respect to Shipboard Technology (e.g., iTV, Digital Signage, Check-in, Payment, Dining, Commerce, Room Automation).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides leadership over the strategic direction of technology products.
2. Leads the team responsible for the development of the vision and definition of technology products.
3. Accountable for the on-time, on-budget delivery of products and projects.
4. Leads in setting corporation-wide technology standards and practices.
5. Responsible for the development of the overall product roadmap.
6. Responsible for all aspects of personnel management of direct reports.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 10 years in a product, design or engineering senior leadership role.
* Bachelors degree required, with a MS/MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
* Significant experience in leading teams/organizations in bringing high quality technology products to market.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Proven track record of leading large teams through ideation, design and delivery of complex Guest- and employee-facing products.
* Deep knowledge in delivering technology products with a consumer-centric focus.
* Experience leading product, design and engineering teams through a software development lifecycle.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication and project/program leadership skills.
* Ability to grasp business complexities and translate them into actionable strategies.
