Aspartofourgrowthinitiatives,we seek torecruitaTechnicalSalesSpecialistforanewbusiness unitcalledRenishaw’sIndustrial AutomationProductDivision (IAPD).Asakeymember oftheteam, this role will serve as both applications and sales representative for IAPD products and be responsible for developingour national sales channelthrough automation integratorsandserviceorganizations,demonstrating, training, and supporting new products, and developing business to ensure that the business meets its strategic objectives for growth and profitability.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
1. Develop sales pipeline for products through integrators and service organizations in alignment with the global initiatives & strategies, as structured by the Global Sales Manager (in the UK).
2. Seek new business opportunities nationally and drive them through established integrator/service organization channels.
3. Develop proficiency in demonstrating products during sales calls at integrators, national/regional trade shows, open house events, and conferences.
4. Provide training and ongoing support to sales channels.
5. Complete site visit reports, key account activity, and monthly expense reports.
6. Develop large key account relationships for multiple sale opportunities.
7. Extensive travel within the region or nationally (and occasionally within the Americas Group) to establish a market presence for the new product line.
8. Leverage the Renishaw Brand to gain access to prospective accounts through existing Renishaw sales groups.
9. Work closely with the business manager, teammates, and inside sales to ensure the quality of the business and technical support delivered to customers.
10. Interact with customer contacts at all levels, including management, technical, and purchasing.
11. Effectively communicate customer requirements and new product needs to the product development group.
12. Use of Microsoft Office products for creating reports, presentations, and general communications.
13. Other Duties as Assigned or Requested
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
14. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineer Technology equivalent, or experience equivalent
15. Minimum of 5 years of Robotic Automation applications experience with one or more major robot brands (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Yaskawa).
16. Experience (including knowledge of and direct contact) with robotics integrators, service organizations, and end users.
17. Experience navigating relationships within large complex organizations to negotiate win/win outcomes.
18. This position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR-controlled data. The applicant must demonstrate eligibility to use and access such ITAR-controlled data. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure compliance with U.S.export control laws.
Education and Experience:
19. 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience in a technical sales setting.
20. Technical certification from major robot manufacturers.
21. Sales Training.
