Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker (Level 3)
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £24k - £29k
Hours: 37.50 Monday - Sunday 12 hours day and waking night
Looking for a qualified level 3 children's residential support worker to support in the Stoke on Trent region of West Midlands.
Job Description:
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. You will be responsible for promoting their independence, well-being, and development while ensuring their safety and security. Your responsibilities will include:
Offering practical and emotional support to children and young people, helping them to engage in activities that encourage personal development and independence.
Building positive, trusting relationships with the children and young people in our care, acting as a positive role model.
Assisting with daily routines and activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and ensuring a safe living environment.
Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with senior staff and other professionals.
Supporting the children in their education, health, and emotional needs, ensuring their voice is heard and they are actively involved in decisions affecting them.
Monitoring and reporting on the progress and well-being of the children and young people, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.Essential Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
Minimum 1 year experience working in a residential childcare provision
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
A compassionate and patient approach with a passion for working with children and young people.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work on a shift rota, including weekends and holidays.What We Offer:
