We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Youth Worker, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Hours per week: 18 Rate of Pay: £17.76 - £23.53 per Hour Responsibilities: To deliver as part of a team projects across the borough as directed, that provides year round, universal and targeted youth activities and programmes, using a variety of methods centre based, universal and targeted youth activities and programmes, that enable the formal and informal learning and personal and social development of children and young people primarily aged 11 and up to 25 with SEND To work with the team lead, support and assist in administrative tasks. To achieve delivery of any apportioned performance targets that relate to the youth activity and programmes, collating data and information on young people attending the project / programme, ensuring that data is regularly inputted onto the service MIS database. To provide individual and group support to young people through assessing the needs of individual/ group of young people through 1:1/ group support. Qualifications: Youll need a minimum of a Level 1/2 NVQ JNC recognised Youth Support Worker qualification or something similar (Sports, Teaching, Youth Justice) Communication skills presentation, verbal & written The ability to work well on own initiative and with others Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
