Location: Sheffield As a Manager Sourcing, you will be responsible for the packaging waste glass (material) sourcing strategy implementation and execution, and purchase structures (including defining and implementing streamlined purchase processes) which will result in the availability of the material according to the targeted volumes in a volatile, changing and competitive market. In the role of Sourcing Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Keep abreast of market conditions and changes in order to revise and develop strategies to meet changing market requirements Initiate and develop new sourcing opportunities to boost business efficiency. Suppliers’ sites visiting (waste management facilities), require regular travelling across the country and will include working with the complexity of business models Retain the number of existing suppliers Number of new suppliers and develop strategies to meet changing market Develop and maintain the availability and quality of the material with an effective and performing sourcing unit. Co-develop and implement an ambitious sourcing strategy for material and area in a highly competitive environment. To be successful in the role of Sourcing Manager, you have: Business or Management degree. Relevant experience in glass recycling and sourcing, or other packaging recycling (paper, plastic). At least 3 years of commercial or management experience in the waste management industry. Basic understanding of glass recycling technologies & waste management systems. Financial principles and basic understanding of logistics. Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Willingness to travel regularly across the country for supplier site visits.
