THE COMPANY: An exciting sales role has arisen within a division of this Uk medical devices business. It would suit either an experienced medical sales candidate or a technical sales person who has worked in specifying with NHS or public sector. Our client is looking for an RSM to drive their operating table and beds division of the business across the UK and to build on the successes they already have. The role will involve identifying and winning new NHS tenders to be a partner of choice for refits and installations of theatre suites. Part of the role will involve working with architects, project engineers and contractors on the installations side as well as working with clinical directors and Procurement in hospitals. There is a great based of existing projects in pipeline but a huge opportunity to spread their presence across other clinical departments and to identify and win new tenders. This is a varied and technical field sales role so will involve daily travel and odd overnight stays. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, it will require an accountable professional sales person with good organisation, drive and self motivation. Typical customer touch points will be with Theatre Managers, Clinical Directors, Consultants, Procurement and EBME staff as well as Engineers, Project Managers and some Architechts.
THE CULTURE: With a heritage of nearly 70 years in the UK medical devices market, this UK manufacturer offers a complete theatre package and infrastructure solution to the NHS and private hospitals. A recent acquisition by a European medical group means they will strengthen their offering in 2025 and grow their manufacturing capabilities in the UK. They offer a structured training and induction process and look for driven clinical sales professionals.
THE ROLE: The successful candidate will ideally come from a medical or technical capital equipment sales or possibly electrical background. Capital equipment or theatre sales background is desirable but not essential. The role will involve a mix of sales, presenting solutions and well as working on tenders, trial and longer term projects.
