We’re recruiting for a Income Recovery Officer to join our team on a 22-month fixed term contract. This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours a week, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office-based to promote collaboration and team working.

Here’s the facts about the role:
As an Income Recovery Officer, you’ll provide a proactive and effective approach to recovering outstanding rent and other charges. You’ll work to agreed procedures to have full control over a caseload of accounts and progress them through the rent arrears process. This’ll include recording contacts, agreements and referrals, ensuring that customers are provided with the right support that they need.
You’ll gain a good understanding of who our customers are and the support that they may need to sustain their tenancies, so that eviction is always the last resort. You’ll develop a good knowledge of benefits and understand how they’re paid and managed, ensuring that business and customer impacts are understood as part of the arrears process.
You’ll have a good working relationship with various teams such as neighbourhoods and tenancy support, as well as developing connections with external partners and agencies who help us to provide the right level of support to our customers, including housing options and homelessness teams.
You’ll bring your wealth of experience in debt recovery and awareness/understanding of the social housing sector, along with your effective communication and relationship-building skills which will help you to succeed in this role.
