Step Teachers are seeking an experienced Physics Teacher located in Torquay commencing in September 2025. This full-time position is for 25 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a Physics Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated physics lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
* Provide engaging and interactive practical experiments to reinforce key concepts.
* Assess and track student progress, offering feedback and guidance to ensure academic growth.
* Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated and confident.
* Prepare students for exams by helping them understand key concepts and develop exam skills.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
* Maintain a safe and well-equipped laboratory environment.
* Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress and achievements.
To be considered for this Physics Teacher position, you will:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Physics or a related field.
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the physics curriculum and assessment criteria.
* Experience teaching physics at the secondary school level (preferred, but not essential).
* Passion for science and education, with the ability to inspire students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Physics Teacher.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
