If you have a passion for technology, a sharp eye for detail, and the drive to make a difference, this is your chance to leap forward in your IT career with a company thats making waves in sustainability A Typical Day in the Job: Reset passwords for users, ensuring compliance with security standards and assist users with multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup and troubleshooting. Utilise the company knowledge base for troubleshooting and support processes Provide technical assistance to internal staff and external customers through various communication channels (phone, email, text, in-person, ticketing system, or video calls). Use tools such as Task Manager and Command Prompt for diagnosing and resolving 1st-line IT issues Assist with basic hardware tasks, such as dismantling and assembling computers., upgrade RAM and replace SSDs in desktop and laptop systems. Install and configure remote control software and antivirus programmes. Assist with physical networking and troubleshooting WiFi setups, including routers and Tenda Mesh systems As part of this role, you will spend the first two weeks in Cambridge (with all expenses covered) for onsite training. During this time, youll work closely with Chris to gain a clear understanding of your responsibilities and help lay the groundwork for transitioning IT operations in-house. After this initial training period, you will primarily work remotely, with occasional travel to the Cambridge office on an ad-hoc basis as needed. A Typical Day in the Job: Assist with routine security tasks such as password resets, multi-factor authentication, setting up group policies, and configuring anti-virus systems Help implement security protocols and maintain data protection across the network and devices. Interpret and follow technical documentation like network diagrams, security policies, and vendor manuals to carry out daily tasks. Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients via phone, email, chat, and video calls. Troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues using a variety of tools Assist with the installation and configuration of both physical hardware (e.g., RAM, CPU, routers) and peripherals (e.g., printers, Bluetooth devices). Help with software installation, upgrades, and updates, including operating systems, office suites, and productivity tools. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic Apprenticeships team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: National living wage 90% of the role will be remote IT support and 10% onsite at the Cambridge office.
