A quick look at the role. Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provide food waste collection services for businesses including, restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collect food waste on behalf of waste management companies, brokers, and councils. The HR Administrator provides an effective, efficient, and professional HR administrative support and assistance to the business.. Your core responsibilities.
* Work in conjunction with management, and external HR provider to review and maintain HR policies and procedures.
* Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including preparing job adverts, collating CV's, obtaining right to work information, organising interviews, and corresponding with successful and unsuccessful candidates, issuing contracts of employment etc.
* Support with the induction of new employees by issuing and gathering induction information, explaining benefits, and obtaining signatures for documents.
* Draft and send letters to employees with regards to changes to terms.
* Track holidays, sickness, and absence.
* Support with Company appraisals and probation reviews.
* Keep training records up to date and support management in the preparation and delivery of training and development.
* Set up and maintain HR systems, spreadsheets, personnel files, and manual and electronic filing systems.
* Ensure exit interviews are undertaken and appropriate paperwork for leavers is completed.
* Liaise with external HR provider with regards to any employee relation issues, in line with HR policies and procedures.
* Ensure employee details are kept up to date
Studying towards a CIPD qualification
* Over 2 years experience in a similar HR administration/administration position.
* Confident IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels
