About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled part-time Payroll Manager for our office in London who will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring that salaries are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with local authorities and government regulations. You will be an integrated part of the People team and report to the Head of People.
What you will be doing
1. Oversee ordinary payroll workflows and incoming changes
2. Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions together with our external payroll providers
3. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
4. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices
6. Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
7. Develop, identify, and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from a similar role where you have gained strong experience with the many areas of operating Payroll processes.
You may have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or in any related field, and/or enough experience from a similar position.
As a person, you are pro-active, responsible, and highly quality and detail-oriented. You have strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a structured way of working, and the courage to try new things and to work in an autonomous way.
You have extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software will be an advantage.
As Banking Circle is an international company, it’s a requirement that you are fluent in English verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset.
