We’re looking for a Mid-Market Team Manager to lead a dynamic team in the heart of Central London! If you’re passionate about driving performance, building strong relationships, and supporting a team to achieve excellence, this role could be for you.
A bit about the job:
As the Mid-Market Team Manager, you’ll lead a team of around 12-15 talented underwriters, working closely with Senior Underwriters to ensure the team meets its goals. Your role will be to guide the team in delivering the best Customer service and solutions in the market, profitable growth and improving capabilities—all while keeping a sharp eye on governance and team engagement. You’ll need to be comfortable making quick decisions, managing priorities, and building relationships that last.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Leadership & People Skills: You’re a natural leader who can inspire, communicate clearly, listen actively, and negotiate effectively
2. Underwriting Experience: You’ve got a solid background in underwriting across multiple areas—Property, Casualty, Construction, or Motor
3. Industry Connections: Your relationships in the market are top-notch, and you know how to leverage them
4. Analytical & Presentation Skills: You can analyse risk and present solutions to brokers and clients with confidence
5. Love of Learning: You’re always curious, eager to learn, and excited to improve and grow both personally and professionally

6. Competitive salary between (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
