What You'll Do
1. Collaborate with one or two development teams working on Magento websites, mobile apps, and PHP Symfony based internal systems designed to automate business processes.
2. Work on multiple projects, overseeing development across different platforms and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
3. Lead the organic implementation of Agile practices from scratch, as teams are not yet running under a specific framework.
4. Develop and manage the product backlog, working closely with teams to ensure smooth progress and delivery of key features and improvements.
5. Be the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication of product goals and priorities.
6. Co-create and co-maintain a product roadmap that aligns with both long-term business strategy and immediate customer feedback.
7. Report to Head of Software Engineering.
What You'll Bring
1. Education and Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in product management.
2. Agile Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban, with experience in writing user stories and managing product backlogs.
3. Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and translate business needs into actionable tasks.
4. Technical Understanding: A solid understanding of software development processes and the ability to collaborate closely with development teams.
5. Roadmap and Vision: Experience in defining a product vision, maintaining a product roadmap, and prioritising features based on customer feedback and business needs.
6. Problem Solving and Decision Making: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive solutions to improve product performance.
7. Experience in facilitating meetings such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and product demos.
8. The ability to work effectively with hybrid and cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills to articulate product features and updates.
9. Stakeholder and Business Focus: A deep understanding of stakeholder needs, market trends, and the ability to align product features with broader business goals.
10. Organisational Skills: A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
11. Leadership: The ability to lead and inspire teams towards delivering high-quality products.
