NIESR, a leading independent research institute, requires an interim HR Manager to provide HR support during a period of maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing an HR function serving approximately 50 staff members.
This role involves providing HR advice and guidance to managers and staff, as well as managing leave and maintaining employee records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and staff.
2. Manage leave and flexible working arrangements.
3. Ensure timely maintenance of employee records.
4. Provide information to the Finance team.
5. Manage NIESR's HR system.
Resourcing:
1. Coordinate recruitment activities.
2. Manage visa applications and sponsor status.
Performance Management:
1. Arrange inductions for new employees.
2. Assist managers with probationary periods.
3. Oversee the annual appraisal process.
4. Coordinate training bookings.
Employee Engagement:
1. Administer the biennial staff survey.
2. Lead the EDI taskforce.
3. Enrol new staff onto our employee benefits platform.
