We currently seeking a Permanent Cellar Hand to support their Production team in crafting award-winning wines. As a Cellar Hand, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality sparkling wine production, working closely with the Cellar Supervisor, Master Cellar Hand and Winemakers. This hands-on position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for the wine industry. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out day-to-day cellar operations involving wine tanks and bottle stock Operating the disgorging line when required, acting as deputy to the Senior Cellar Hand Assisting with the training of junior team members and new starters Operating key equipment such as filters and heat exchanger Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times Working within established standard operating procedures and risk assessments Requirements: Experience in a similar cellar hand role, harvest experience, or a relevant qualification such as a degree in Viticulture and Oenology Previous winery production experience is preferred, although food or drink production experience will also be considered Must have access to own transport due to the rural location of the winery Physically capable of lifting weights up to 20kg Willingness to work additional hours during the busy harvest season Strong numeracy and literacy skills Ability to complete checking reports accurately Positive, can-do attitude and team player Keen attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely If you’re looking to be part of a passionate and professional winemaking team with a strong reputation for quality and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
