Our client, is currently seeking a DM Principal Planning Officer. This is a temporary opportunity is offering a 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing strategic development sites
Providing expert advice on development management and town planning matters
Leading on the preparation and assessment of complex planning applications
Ensuring compliance with planning regulations and policies
Collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the community
Preparing detailed reports and presentations for council and committee meetings
Attending and representing the council at public and stakeholder meetings
Mentoring and guiding junior planning officers
Job Requirements:
Experience in development management and town planning
Thorough understanding of planning regulations and policies
Ability to manage and assess complex planning applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Full driving licence
Membership of the RTPI (or eligibility for membership) is desirable
Capability to work effectively within a team and independently
