The Role
1. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of all production equipment and services.
2. Carry out machine installation.
3. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
4. Minimise any downtime to production.
5. Lead and create improvement plans for the elimination of waste throughout the process.
6. Continually monitor process performance to ensure optimisation.
7. Monitor process performance through uptime/downtime and capacity to develop action plans for improvement.
8. Always strive to continually improve the process.
The Person
1. Candidates must be qualified to at least HNC level - ideally.
2. Successfully completed a recognised mechanical or electrical or multi-skilled apprenticeship; 18th edition qualified would be an advantage.
3. PLC experience is ideal.
4. Knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
5. Experience of machine installation work.
6. Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
7. Shift work and some overtime working are required.
