POSITION SUMMARY
As a Test Technician, you will test electronic equipment and perform fault finding down to the component level when required to meet production schedules and performance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies.
2. Use test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
3. Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, recognizing nonconformities as required.
4. Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner.
5. Understand and follow all safety requirements.
6. Maintain fixturing, perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
7. Train other employees in established processes.
8. Initiate and contribute to corrective actions.
9. Ensure all tasks are performed accurately and completely.
10. Be effectively cross-trained on multiple product platforms.
11. Initiate and contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput, and cost reductions.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
2. Proven ability to maintain flexibility and adapt in a team environment.
3. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
4. Intermediate computer knowledge, including AE Nexus, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
5. Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
6. Minimum of two years of electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent).
7. Assist in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing.
8. Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
9. HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Environment: Manufacturing facility.
2. Physical Requirements: Carrying, pushing, pulling, standing.
