Duty Officer Dog Warden Service Fixed Term Contract (18 months) Grade 4: £26,409 - £28,624 Do you have excellent customer service skills? Do you have experience in administration? Are you passionate about animal welfare? Do you have a good knowledge of dogs? If so, this could be the job for you. We are looking for a duty officer to join our experienced team. You must have the ability to work independently and have the confidence in using your own judgement and initiative whilst also working effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to be able to work from our modern Offices at Wyre Forest House, Kidderminster, DY11 7WF with the option of remote working when no requirement to be in the office. You will work as part of a duty officer team acting as first point of contact to customers accessing our services. Primarily dealing with customers who are calling our dog warden service to report lost dogs and be reunited with their pets. This is a busy service and you will be dealing with demand from various channels including email, telephone and teams. It is important to ensure a good standard of customer service at all times as service requesters can be highly emotive. The Role Ensure that a full accurate electronic record of all customer interactions is recorded. Make certain that service delivery meets the relevant purposes of Worcestershire Regulatory Services. To take responsibility for resolving queries on behalf of the customer, progressing and chasing when required, issues passed through to relevant teams. Refer customers where appropriate, to specialist staff and identifying vulnerable customers where referral may be helpful. This includes consulting with external agencies. Provide information, advice and services to customers on behalf of Worcestershire Regulatory Services, its partners and other local/national agencies as necessary Skills and Experience Good computer literacy with particular knowledge and experience of database administration and data capture Experience in a customer service environment Good communication skills both oral and written Methodical and accurate working practices The ability to recognise and maintain confidentiality.
