MPI Requires a Temporary Buyer ( Part- Time), for our client based in Milton Keynes\n\nRate: £15.38 per hour PAYE\n\nStart date: ASAP\n\nDuration: 6months\n\nWorking Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible working days/hours\n\nAn exciting opportunity for a ‘Buyer’ to support the procurement function on a 6 month basis. The role holder will work to drive better delivery reliability, a reduction in DSI and to help implement strategic procurement strategies.\n\nThe role holder will need to be organised, structured and proactive.\n\nMain Duties: \n\nWorking closely with our suppliers to ensure we have components available for the Business Unit to operate efficiently.\nBe actively involved in meeting our procurement KPI’s (DSI, SLISC, WADPO & PPI)\nManaging procurement orderbooks\nBe able to make strategic decisions from a procurement perspective\nWork closely with our planning team to ensure components and materials arrive when they are required\nDealing with supplier issues, working alongside the SQE to resolve issues to ensure we have a suitable supply of components\nBe able to communicate current procurement status to the required stakeholders\nWork with eProcurement to ensure exception messages are answered with-out delay\nEngage in planning and execution of new projects\nBe involved in business improvement (i.e. Lean, Kaizen etc) activities\nWork with the team to aid Kanban Box implementation
