Job summary A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Medical Record Department. We are looking to appoint a full time Medical Record Clerk to work within our existing team. Your base of work will be Good Hope Hospital. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm. To be considered for this role you must be a team player, have good communication skills and willing to be flexible. At times the role will involve standing for long periods and using a step ladder to access records stored on higher shelves. Main duties of the job Main duties involve filing, using a tracking system to locate and track records and processing data requests. Experience Essential Minimum of 6 months clerical/ administration experience. To be able to operate a computer. Excellent knowledge of keyboard skills. Knowledge of filing both alphabetically and numerically. Additional Criteria Essential Ability to prioritise, effective organisational skills, ability to use initiative within clearly defined parameters. To be able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining 100% accuracy. To be able to communicate effectively at all levels, clear and concise written skills.
