The Role
As an Aviation IT Project Manager, you will play a critical role in managing client projects and ensuring seamless communication between our development team and aviation clients. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
2. Acting as the primary liaison between clients and developers.
3. Translating complex IT concepts into clear, actionable language for aviation professionals.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a highly independent and motivated individual who understands the aviation industry and is comfortable working in a remote, international team. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Aviation experience – ideally within business aviation.
2. Previous roles in charter, flight dispatch, or FBO operations (a plus).
3. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
4. A basic understanding of software development processes and IT fundamentals is beneficial but not required, as we provide induction.
5. Excellent communication skills – the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
6. The ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward.
What We Offer
At NERD.aero, we believe in fostering a flexible and engaging work environment. We offer:
1. Freedom of location – work from anywhere within Europe or adjacent time zones.
2. Freedom of time – we trust our employees and we do not have a limit on annual leave you take.
3. Private health and dental insurance (subject to local restrictions).
4. Cycle to work scheme.
5. Space in our Cambridge or Budapest office, or global workspace subscription, or work-from-home compensation.
6. An open culture organisation with a diverse, multicultural team.
7. Opportunities to travel for trade shows, conferences, and client visits.
If you are ready to take your aviation and IT expertise to the next level and work with a team that values innovation, independence, and collaboration, we want to hear from you!
