The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials and finished products are manufactured to meet the relevant regulatory, statutory, and specification requirements.
Ensuring laboratory equipment is maintained, operational, and calibrated in line with the pre-determined schedule. Performance of testing on 3rd party samples in our UKAS accredited test facility.
Responsibilities:
* Perform tests in accordance with defined procedures
* Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
* Accurate recording of test results
* Where appropriate, acting as “trainer” for test procedures
* Implementing and suggesting improvements to the laboratory quality system
* Identification of deviations from the management system or from test procedures
* Performing internal audits of the laboratory systems to ensure the effectiveness of laboratory activities
Qualification and Experience:
* ONC/BTEC/A Levels or equivalent in technical subjects
* Previous experience of working within a laboratory would be advantageous, although full training will be provided
Key skills:
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Keen eye for detail and confidence to raise issues when needed
* Self-discipline
* Strong time management, organisational skills, and written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures
