Recruiter: Daniel McCarthy Career Grade: D Closing Date: 19-Feb-24 We are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) to join a team who will ensure responsibility for: - Design, Test and manage Private networks across the UK and the World meeting the Telecom Security Act (TSA) Requirements - Delivery of new Software & Network technology, supporting Customer and BT internal needs. - The solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive and achieved. - Oversee the demand, sprint planning, resource, quality, billing and finances. - You will be responsible to deliver projects in a dynamic team and evolving environment & portfolio. Why this role matters This role is to calls on a hybrid of skills: mainly technical delivery manager, sometimes programme manager, ideally agile product owner. The role is to deliver complex projects covering physical and or Software Defined infrastructure and virtual environments, embracing and applying agile methodologies. You will need to manage multiple workstreams, location and cultural diverse teams and stakeholders while working in an agile way. The TDM needs to exploit abstraction and reuse for cohesion and synergies as well as mange costs & timescales, to release the biggest benefits. The TDM needs to have a holistic view of each project's deliverables, agile-squads, stakeholders & financials. This is an exciting area with many challenges, as the technology and tools are ever changing. The candidate needs to be pro-active, flexible and have a positive attitude, and will be given peer & line support, coaching and opportunities to learn. In Networks, the Global Rech team has about 140 people who are responsible to Design, Test and Platform Manage BT's external customer serving Networks a well as BT internal support Networks. In the Global Reach team, the Delivery team is responsible to deliver all agreed projects within time, cost and quality as well as facilitating the intake of new work, prioritisation of work where needed and managing our overall cost base. This is collaborative and transformational work, and the team is driving new behaviours and cultures for a network of the future. What you'll be doing - Responsible for delivering in an agile way the technical solutions inc. planning, finances & resource - Ensure the scope is agreed & understood and driven from proof of concept, to minimal viable product - Own and deliver projects from design through to live implementation and/or withdrawal - Own the network delivery of portfolio/release from the concept to market. - Ensure the solution meets the business and manage delivery change control at work stream / network delivery level and determine on acceptance or rejection of changes to an agreed scope - Ensure all impacted teams engage and commit to deliver plans, and identify any challenges & prerequisites - Design and drive improved working process for efficient live deployment - Ensuring that platforms/components can commit to delivery commitments - Work with the wider team, in an agile way including vendors, designers, security and product owners - Providing opportunities to work on a wide variety of technologies for Global Services, Enterprise and Networks in new emerging technologies and markets. - Identifying risks, opportunities and issues, and taking corrective actions to resolve - Manage the finances across the Programme and provide updates to stakeholders.
