Location: Malton, North Yorkshire
Salary: £29,000 - £40,000 (dependent on qualifications & experience)
Hours: 9-day fortnight (enjoy two long weekends per month!)
Must have: Right to work in the UK, full driving license & own transport
Are you an experienced Machinist looking to inspire the next generation of engineers?
The Role
As a Machining Trainer, you will:
1. Deliver hands-on training in machining techniques using lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment
2. Support and assess apprentices working towards their Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship
3. Provide guidance and mentorship to learners, helping them develop technical skills and industry knowledge
4. Work with a structured day-release training programme in a state-of-the-art training centre
5. Ensure apprentices meet industry standards and safety regulations
What We're Looking For
1. Strong practical experience in machining, CNC, or precision engineering
2. Training experience is an advantage—but full training can be provided for the right candidate
3. Excellent communication and mentoring skills to engage and support apprentices
4. A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent)
5. Passion for developing the next generation of skilled engineers
