Head of Operations – Working for an award-winning travel company based in the Northwest of England. A fantastic opportunity to join an established and well-respected travel company with responsibility of managing a growing multi-function operations team, overseeing daily operations to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and profitability, whilst consistently delivering on service. This role will be responsible for the strategy and longer-term growth and will implement changes to improve the operation performance whilst building a multi skilled team, with an emphasis on service. This role will be working Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm on a hybrid basis and offers a competitive basic salary plus a range of company enefits .
Head of Operations role and responsibilities :
Lead the Operations team including Sales Support, Quality Control and Client Resolution, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring processes are run smoothly and efficiently
Ensuring there is seamless coordination between Operations, Sales, Service and Product team to optimise workflows, implementing and maintaining operational best practices to deliver customer experience
Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline operational workflows, reducing processes and identifying and implementing new technology and atomisation solutions
Ensure full compliance with UK and International travel regulations
Develop and implement operational policies that align with industry best practices and legal requirements
Handle crisis management situations, ensuring minimal impact on customers and business operations
Working with Training Manager develop and implement training programs to enhance companywide employees’ skills and knowledge on regulatory compliance.
Champion and drive a positive company culture aligned with the values and vision
Head of Operations experience and skills:
Proven leadership experience in travel operations, minimum 5 years.
Strong understanding of UK travel regulations.
Experience with travel booking systems, CRM platforms, and automation tools.
Ability to drive operational efficiencies and improvements.
Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.
Excellent people management experience
