We are looking for a midwife with good experience in the operational line management of clinical maternity areas. The post holder will be responsible for providing midwifery leadership to the clinical areas and will ensure the efficient and effective use of resources and the development and maintenance of the highest standards of care and efficient service delivery. The post holder will assist the Director and Head of Midwifery in the development and progression of the maternity agenda to achieve consistency of practice, high standards of care and innovation to drive forward service improvement. The candidate must be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills, meet challenging deadlines and consistently deliver on key performance targets. You will provide clinical and professional leadership to staff in your designated area of responsibility The post holder will provide clinical leadership for service redesign, support the implementation of the Health Boards Nursing and Midwifery Strategy, and the 5 Year Plan (Service, workforce and financial), and Annual Operating Framework (Operational Plan).
