We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in Winchester.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
The working hours are Monday to Friday.
This position is full time, with an annual salary up to £64,471 per annum, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide clinical leadership for the primary care team, made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals.
* Act as a role model, ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times.
* Work with the team to ensure patient safety, manage complex cases, and apply the most up-to-date treatment methodology to patient care.
* Be accountable for your practice, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention.
* Share your experience and knowledge by being involved in the educational and professional development of the nursing team through clinical supervision sessions and formal teaching opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience required
* Registered NMC Nurse - Adult or Mental Health
* Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
* MSc in Advanced Practice
* Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner
* Evidence of implementation of local and national policies
* Experience demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise in decision making and judgement
