This is a fantastic opportunity for a Group QHSE & Sustainability Director to lead and shape an inclusive, innovative, and effective approach to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (QHSE & S) across our organization.
You will work collaboratively with senior leaders to embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that QHSE & S leadership is fully integrated across the business. This role offers a platform to design and implement engaging, forward-thinking strategies while leading high-performing teams that create meaningful, long-term impact.
What you’ll be doing
As Group QHSE & Sustainability Director, you will:
1. Work with the Group Leadership team to manage the Integrated Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System across the organization.
2. Lead and support a high-performing QHSE & S leadership team, ensuring effective performance management.
3. Develop and refine policies, procedures, and processes to promote best practices in safety and sustainability.
4. Partner with senior managers to drive continuous improvements in safety performance and environmental impact.
5. Oversee and support investigations related to accidents, near misses, and insurance claims.
6. Champion driver safety programs to ensure the well-being of our workforce.
7. Create and maintain a culture where safety is valued, responsibilities are clear, and objectives are achieved.
8. Develop and implement training strategies that empower employees and support professional growth.
9. Support ISO accreditations and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What you’ll bring
1. Extensive experience as a QHSE & S leader, with recognized qualifications such as CMIOSH, IEMA or equivalent.
2. A track record of influencing senior leadership and working collaboratively to embed meaningful cultural change.
3. Strong communication and engagement skills, with the ability to inspire teams and make QHSE & S a core business priority.
4. Experience in using data insights and storytelling to drive strategic decision-making.
5. The ability to work flexibly, calmly, and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
6. Strong planning and organizational skills, particularly in managing teams across multiple locations.
7. Leadership experience in QHSE & S within the facilities management and security industry.
8. A solid understanding of ISO Integrated Management Systems.
9. A track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
10. Experience in incident reporting, investigation, and resolution to maintain robust safety practices.
11. The ability to establish audit and assurance programs to ensure legal compliance.
12. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, resources, and costs.
13. Deep knowledge of Environmental/Sustainability legislation and experience implementing improvement programs.
