To be successful in this role you will need to Identify innovative measurement solutions that could benefit the Power Unit (PU) • Analyse transducer’s characteristics to define suitable mounting location and orientation to get best result • Design mechanical components to create and incorporate bespoke measurement systems in the PU • Sign off the measurement solutions prior to their deployment outside of the group • Produce all relevant documentation to allow deployment within the business (fitting, connecting and logging instructions). • Check and understand specific demands from Product Engineering and/or Simulation departments; advise on the most suitable solution for the application • Advise customers on the most suitable solution for an application - Design mechanical components to implement that solution • Interpret and report measurement data in a format that make them ‘’usable’’ by the customers • Keep up to date with the latest measurement technology and practices Therefore we need you to be experienced in Excellent understanding of mechanical problems (static and dynamic) Proven track record of designing mechanical components and assemblies using CATIA and simple FEA Excellent knowledge of sensing techniques Good knowledge of Power Unit environment and constraints • Familiar with data logging and processing Hold the following Qualifications It is essential that the applicant possesses a high grade degree in a relevant engineering subject Be Curious and tenacious Enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible with positive approach to new problems Disciplined and methodical Able to work to fixed demanding time frames and work exceptional hours when required Good teamwork and communication skills In return you’ll get the chance to be part of a team with some of the best in the world, at a state of the art facility, with a very real chance to make history.
