We are seeking a Matron to join one of our Boarding Houses, supporting the health and welfare of the pupils in our care. This is a varied role that requires a calm, friendly, and flexible approach. This role is to cover Monday to Friday 7:30am-6pm however could potentially be filled on a job share basis. The successful candidate will have a good sense of humour and an understanding of, and genuine interest in, working with young people. You should be a good listener, able to show tact and diplomacy, and respond sensitively to a range of situations. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and the wider College community. A flexible ‘can-do’ attitude and an adaptable approach are important in managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the role. Acting as a supportive presence within the house, you will play a key role in creating a stable and caring environment, taking on a position similar to that of a parent figure. This includes being available to pupils, responding to their needs, and helping to maintain a well-run and supportive boarding house. All holiday entitlement will be applied pro-rata in line with the role's working pattern.
