Summary of Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Head of the North. This is a great opportunity for driven individuals who relish a challenge and are driven to succeed in a fast and innovative environment.
This role will working closely with Head of Youth Recruitment and lead and manage regional scouting teams to support Leeds United national scouting strategy, talent identification of young players with potential and presenting key talent to Head of Recruitment and Academy Manager.

Main Job Responsibilities:
• Build strong regional relationships with clubs and agents in geographical region.
• Lead a team of scouts responsible for identifying talent capable of playing for Leeds united.
• Create regional long and target lists aligned to age group depth charts
• Manage coverage of games against identified target players
• Analysis target players (live and on Video) and report to HOYR
• Maintain oversight of regional reporting/ grading in line with club recruitment strategy.
• Work with Analysis department to create video evidence and dossiers of target players to support monthly acquisition meetings with senior management team.
• Enhance the department and build upon department strength & Weakness .

• FA Talent Level ID 2
• FA Talent Level ID 3
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• Experience of Player Recruitment in an Academy Environment
• Experience of Player potential & Performance
• Always Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
• Work part as a team or independently
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team to support player development
• Strong organisational skills to achieve a high level output
• Ability to maintain and update key information
• Ability to manage group of staff
• Knowledge of local football & geographical areas
• Experience or a background in scouting
• Understanding and in-depth knowledge of football techniques and skills in shooting, manipulating, passing and controlling the ball
• Observation skills
• Strategic planning, organising and co-ordinating skill
