Job Description - Monitoring Support Officer (MSO)
Become a Monitoring Support Officer and help us deliver better outcomes for a safer society across England & Wales through Electronic Monitoring.
This role is a temporary contract, working 37.5 hours per week. You must be punctual and have good spoken English. You'll need to be physically mobile.
Working remotely from home, you will be collected by a Field Monitoring Officer at the start of your shift and travel across local communities to support those who have electronic monitoring requirements. You will support Field Monitoring Officers while they install and decommission monitoring equipment. Your primary role is to be an extra pair of eyes for the Field Monitoring Officer while they attend to the tasks assigned to them, ensuring that you are always both safe.
You would assist with carrying equipment, which is not heavy. You should be able to hold conversations with any friends or family at the address to allow the Field Monitoring Officer to carry out their role. Additionally, you will take notes for the Field Monitoring Officer and perform any other light duties requested by them.
You will be entering hostels, places of multiple occupancy, as well as private addresses, and need to be respectful of someone else's home.
Working hours: You'll be working on a shift pattern between 17:00 and 01:00, with the potential for overtime until 02:00 each shift depending on workload, working 5 shifts over 7 days.
Successful candidates will be required to pass BPSS screening, which includes a criminal record check and a three-year employment check.
