Job Description: Infrastructure Engineering Lead
Experience: 12 to 15 Years of IT Experience in Automation via Python, shell scripting, and PowerShell.
Proven Expertise: Core automation DevOps toolchain and orchestration in SSP, Provisioning, Private and Public cloud. Preferred experience in ServiceNow, SSCM, Ansible, Chef, and other orchestration engines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Understand the process that needs to be automated, check the feasibility of automation, and design and develop the future state of that process.
2. Directly manage the systems team in the implementation of objectives and overall activities.
3. Identify critical technical roadblocks, risks, resource needs, and escalate to the Application or Platform Manager as the leader of the System Engineering project team.
4. Drive Automated Patch Management system, including automated scanning of missing patches and automated deployment across Endpoints and Servers.
5. Own the solution from the Requirements Analysis Stage through Commitment, Development, Deployment, Operational, and Withdrawal Stages.
6. Discuss and seek all clarifications from stakeholders regarding Automation application design at the appropriate stage of the life-cycle.
7. Knowledge in Automations and Integration experience with Performance monitoring, ITSM, and Orchestration tools.
8. Hands-on experience in SCCM Infra – BAU, SCCM Version Upgrades, Site Roles Installation and Configuration, and other setups.
9. Validate operational readiness, including requirements, design, event engineering, testing, documentation, training, tools, change management, SLAs, service assurance policies & procedures, escalation procedures, and disaster recovery & business continuity.
10. Write service documentation based on operational requirements.
11. Experience in infrastructure implementation programs, including major and regular patching and upgrade initiatives to drive the latest technology stack and platform health.
12. Experience with DEVOPS or a thorough understanding of the principles behind it.
13. Lead complex troubleshooting sessions across multiple data centres, networks, technical disciplines, and interface with external clients.
14. Comfortable developing and delivering presentations to executive management and clients involving complex technical concepts.
15. Build complex and high-availability environments using this technology.
16. Understand IT Service and Delivery Management principles with a proven track record of delivering results and introducing practical project management techniques.
17. Exhibit confidence communicating and interacting with management across LOB & technology teams.
Technical Qualifications:
1. Desired certifications like RHEL, DevOps, MCSE, CCNA.
2. Hypervisor technology, especially on VMware/ESXi version 5.5 and 6.
3. Experience in building and supporting Microsoft Windows & Linux/Unix platforms and Middleware Platforms (RHEL8, RHEL9, Windows 2012/2019 etc.).
4. Knowledge of Patch automation tools like SCCM/MCM.
5. Wintel-based server farm including latest versions of Windows, Microsoft SQL, Load Balancing, Clustering, and Disaster Recovery techniques.
6. Strong understanding and familiarity with Network Topology concepts.
