As a key member of our senior midwifery team and expert midwife you will have an opportunity alongside the obstetric lead to drive innovation and excellence in our fetal surveillance, monitoring and perinatal optimisation programmes. You will help shape and nurture an everyday culture of high quality antenatal fetal surveillance, intrapartum risk assessments & fetal monitoring in pregnancy, labour and birth and perinatal optimisation. Main duties of the job In this role, you will support the delivery of strong visible clinical leadership, promoting professional advice and guidance to all maternity staff, to ensure the highest standards of woman centered care are delivered in our service. You will provide expertise to the service and support the implementation of national policy and national guidance/ evidence in relation to fetal monitoring and achieving healthy birth outcomes. You will work with our Quality & Safety team and lead on quality improvement strategies and assurance processes which underpin the provision of safe, effective, maternity care. You will provide midwifery expertise and clinical care within our preterm birth service.
