We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team here at Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust
You will be responsible for the provision of evidence-based clinical advice and support to staff and patients across the Trust to deliver high quality, patient-focused care.
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and provision of specialist nursing advice and carries out specialist nursing procedures in line with professional codes of conduct and local policies and guidelines.
In this role you will contribute to the management of referrals received from inpatient and outpatient
sources to ensure that patients are triaged to the appropriate health care professional
within the pain service.
Undertake pain assessments and formulate, implement and evaluate management
plans, both ward-based and within outpatient clinics: liaising with senior colleagues
as required.
Develop knowledge of the different therapeutic interventions and strategies that can
be utilised in the management of acute and/or chronic pain conditions
Make evidence-based, appropriate, and timely decisions about the management of
patient care.
Teach patients and relatives about their condition, treatment, and self-help options.
Engage in clinical supervision and self-reflection, using this to improve care and
practice.
Be responsible for providing specialist clinical advice and support to, and liaising with
staff, patients and carers.
Carry a caseload and take responsibility for the management of allocated cases.
Improve and maintain standards of care within the specialty.
