We currently support: Children at MacIntyre School our independent special school in Buckinghamshire providing personalised education for 37 pupils. Young people in our Children s Homes 24 children and young people living in therapeutic, nurturing homes across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire. Young adults aged 16 accessing inclusive, flexible education and life-skills programmes through MacIntyre No Limits in Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and the East Midlands. These lives are shaped by the support systems you will oversee. Your role ensures that every child and young person has the chance to live a life that makes sense to them, a life that s rooted in their community, full of connection, belonging, and opportunity. Commercial and Business Lead - Key Responsibilities: Business and Commercial Leadership: Lead and coordinate key business functions including finance, facilities, HR, recruitment, IT infrastructure, and general administration across all Children and Young People services (CYP). Strategic Contribution: As part of the CYP Senior Leadership Team (SLT), shape the long-term direction, the growth and sustainability of MacIntyre School, Children s Homes, and No Limits. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, procurement, fee setting, and financial reporting. Ensure robust commercial terms and strong financial performance. Compliance & Safety: Maintain high standards in health and safety, compliance, building maintenance, and transport, ensuring that services meet statutory requirements and provide safe, nurturing environments. People & Systems: Manage recruitment processes, staff records, training coordination, and ensure IT systems and data protection are effectively maintained. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with central services and external agencies, creating partnerships that support the welfare and success of the children and young people we support. Visible Leadership: Be a proactive and present leader across sites, building strong relationships with staff and role-modelling our person-centred values. While experience in education, health, or care settings is desirable, we welcome candidates from other sectors who align with our values and are passionate about making a difference. Confident Communicators : You can build strong, trusting relationships and explain complex ideas clearly to a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Professionals with Relevant Knowledge : You may hold a degree or qualification in business, accountancy, operations, or a related field. While this is desirable, we re also open to candidates with equivalent experience and a commitment to continued learning. An understanding of education or health & safety legislation is helpful but not essential. Some practical things you need to know This is a full-time role, 35 hours a week This is based in Milton Keynes, Central Office, but regular travel is required, within Milton Keynes, Wingrave, and our No Limit locations (Oxford, Bucks North and South, Bedfordshire, East Midlands. You will need a driving licence and your own transport which must be covered by business insurance. Your normal working hours will be 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday, the working pattern may be varied from time to time by MacIntyre to support operational requirements.
