We are seeking a Client Project Delivery Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of client projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and risk management.
Typical project values are under £1m, with 40-70% within that scope. You will manage 10-25 low-complexity projects per year.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
* Lead end-to-end project delivery, from initial planning to final handover.
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
* Monitor project performance, ensuring objectives are met within agreed timeframes and budgets.
* Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project progress.
* Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Client Engagement
* Support the CSD in providing accurate and timely project updates.
* Build strong relationships with clients and internal commercial teams.
* Ensure client expectations are managed and any issues are addressed proactively.
Team Leadership
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
* Assign tasks, track progress, and foster accountability across teams.
* Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support team development.
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk registers and progress reports.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and stored appropriately.
Skills & Experience Required
* Fluent English speaker with strong project management, construction, and engineering vocabulary.
* Proven experience in engineering or asset project management within a client-facing role.
* Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMP).
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects efficiently.
* Proficiency in project management tools (ideally MS Project).
* Experience in procurement, supplier management, and financial reporting.
Desirable Qualifications
* Formal Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM).
* Experience in waste, engineering, or construction industries.
