Team of Support Workers - 8 vacancies for a young woman, 37hrs @ £13.09/hr in Prudhoe - NE42
We are currently looking to recruit a team of Support Workers to provide support for a 27-year-old female who lives in her own home. This young lady is diagnosed with moderate learning difficulties, Autism, A.D.H.D., and hypotonia. The purpose of your role will be to enable her to live independently in her own home.
This young lady requires a staff team of 8 people, male and female, with 2 staff at all times covering 12-hour shifts, including nights. These shifts can be adjusted if needed depending on the applicant.
She requires carers who have a positive, outgoing personality with a good sense of humour. You should be fit and have good general health as she enjoys walking, swimming, and trampolining. Her favourite activity is shopping, but this can be overstimulating, so it happens once or twice a week. She can exhibit complex and challenging behaviour, so we are looking for empathetic carers who understand her needs.
Experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. As you will be working as part of a staff team, you need to be comfortable working collaboratively and possess good communication skills. Drivers are preferred but not essential, as she has a mobility car available for social and domestic use.
In addition to a high standard of personal care required in this role, you will also need to carry out domestic duties within the household as required.
Hours: 2:1 support to cover 12-hour shifts, including nights. Please state the hours you are able to support in your application. Hours will be discussed further at the interview.
